The IPGA has a close relationship with the UKPGA.  The UK Policy Governance® Association (UKPGA) was originally established as the UK Policy Governance Group in October 2005, and subsequently incorporated as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee in April 2006. The association is principally concerned with promoting owner-accountable, ethical and effective governance using the Carver Policy Governance model.

The UKPGA is a wholly independent organization and is governed by a board comprised entirely of ‘non-executive’ directors – John Bruce, Caroline Oliver (Chair), Valerie Moore , Vijay Mistri , Ray Tooley and Susan Rogers.
